Is it difficult to become a member?
No. All you need is a valid email address. If you don't have an existing email address, you can get one Free at http://www.hotmail.com. After getting your free email address, return here and Sign Up. Your email address is not displayed to other members.
Is the site easy to navigate?
Yes. We have made the site very easy to navigate. We can help you create a profile and post your pictures. If you need any additional help, feel free to contact us at Customer Support Services. Our friendly staff is available during normal business hours to answer any questions. You can send us your pictures and we will be glad to post them for you. We want your experience with Artist and Crafts to be pleasant and enjoyable.
How many members can I contact?
You can contact as many members as you wish. The more messages you send, the more response you can anticipate.
Is there any advice you can give me for creating a dynamic profile?
Be honest and sincere when answering all the questions. Provide a brief overview of your Interests or Arts and Crafts Ideas and tell members what you want. Always include a picture when possible. Profiles with a picture get the best responses. It's about establishing trust.
Can I post a picture myself, and my arts and crafts?
Yes, you can upload it yourself, or you can send us a picture electronically by email, or you can send it through the mail to us, and we will be glad to post it for you. You can post up to five pictures.
How will I know I have mail?
A notice will be sent to your registered e-mail address notifying you that we have deposited an email message or interest message to your private ‘ArtistandCrafts.com’ inbox in ‘My Private Lists’.
How can I read my e-mail?
Log on to the site, then select “go to Inbox” or “New messages” from the upper green bar. You can also access your inbox by selecting "My Private Lists" from your Control Panel, scrolling down to the Custom Menu and clicking on “Inbox”. To read your e-mails click on the subject line of the e-mail message. If you want to find out more about a special member, click on the member nickname.
How do I reply to an e-mail message?
Simply click ‘Reply’ and type in your message.
I am a member but I have not received any mail...?
You might have accidentally entered an incorrect e-mail address. Try sending yourself a message. If you do not receive the message, go to “My Profile” in your Control Panel after logging in. Enter a correct e-mail address, click on the “Save Changes” button and try again. It could also be that you may have gone over your email account storage. It is advisable to review and delete all messages you do not want from your email inbox. If you still don’t receive a message you send yourself after this, contact us.
How do I show someone I am interested?
There are several ways to show interest. You can send someone a “Interest” and they will receive an email notification that they’ve been shown interest by you. You can “List” a member, or Friend them. If you LIST someone and they List you back, you will appear in their profile’s main page, in their Friend list. It's that easy. You can delete members from any of your Interest lists at any time. To perform any of these actions look for the “Custom Menu” on the profile of the person you’re interested in. You will usually find this menu below the “Member Menu” to the left. You may need to scroll down a bit to be able to see all the options.
How do I know if someone is interested in me?
Click on "My Friends" from your Control Panel. You will find several lists of people who have sent you Interest, “listed or friended you. Check the small box next to their name and press the button to send them Interest, List them or Friend them back.
How can I check who I have shown interest in?
Click on "My Private Lists" from your Control Panel. You will find several lists of profiles that you have shown interest, Listed or Friended. If you are no longer interested in this person, check the small box next to their name and press the Delete button to take them off your list.
Can I update or change my profile?
Yes. You can update your profile as often as you like. Just log in, go to "My Profile", and change the information and then click on "Save Changes".
Can I perform a detailed search?
Yes. Click "Search” on the upper tab bar. You can search by age, Art and Craft Type, Zip Code, and a variety of other criteria.
Can I change my match preferences?
Yes. Click "My Profile", scroll down to the section called “Details of the person you are looking for” and make your changes, then press "Save Changes”.
